RE the watermark.

It's a tiny little text mark in the bottom corner. Many photographers have a huge 50% transparency over the middle of the image...

I'm not posting my images on the internet without ANY kind of watermark. This is kinda slim protection as it is. What do you suggest i do? Any reasonable ideas will be considered.

  1. The corner is fine...middle of the image takes away from the picture imo.

  2. I agree with steve, but it should actually be on the image. and not sticking out in color etc.

  3. I like when the water mark kinda of blends into an image but is still visible.

  4. You should just accept the fact that on the internet, copyright laws do not exist.

Making a watermark only irritates people who are viewing it, and people skilled with photoshop can get rid of it anyway.

Instead, add a signature somewhere that blends with the image. Easy to recognize, and people don't usually mind those.

  5. perhaps, make it small and just make it part of the picture? :P green on green? just outlined?

  6. I watermark my images in places where the pic would be ruined if they were removed, but that's just how I like it :) But yeah, it's totally up to you.

  7. And if I need to, I can always fall back on the original copies w/o the watermark. When you post samples up on the web, just say that you've got originals and in higher resolution etc. etc.
